About Taryn

Hi, I'm Taryn Hunter, owner of Doggittude™ Lifestyle and animal advocate. Sixteen years ago, I started my career in pet care as a volunteer at Prospect Park Animal Hospital working with Dr. Leonard Silverman. From there I learned how to be a vet tech, built a full-time thriving pet-care business that started out as a part-time service I ran out of my home (affectionately known as Cattitude Bed & Breakfast for Pets), and recently became a recipient of the Crain’s New York Notable Women Business Owners - the first time a pet services business owner was recognized by Crain’s.

The Doggittude™ difference is that we’ve been around and seen a lot of things and are grounded in veterinary and animal medicine and animal rights advocacy. We’ve been serving dog lovers and pet owners in Brooklyn and Manhattan for the past 10 years. 

If we haven’t already met, I look forward to meeting you, your fur kids, and their fur friends.
